The crowdsourcing web application “Sources of Natural Water Pollution”, developed by the environmental public association ENDO, was presented as part of an expanded meeting of the public coordinating environmental council at the Mogilev Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, which took place on March 4, 2020 of the year. Using the application, public ecologists will be able to map the results of their expeditionary work and quickly post them online. This will allow the relevant services to quickly respond to emerging environmental issues.
The public coordinating environmental council are held throughout Belarus on a regular basis with the support of the project “Involving the public in environmental monitoring and improving environmental management at the local level”, funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus. The meeting schedule is available on the websites of the regional executive committees.
